FAQ
Questions we hear most
Paying
Do you take my insurance?
It depends on your plan. We bill dental plans, and some surgery goes to medical plans. Candice checks both before your visit and tells you what each says. How fees work has the rest.
What if I don't have insurance?
You get a written estimate for the whole plan before any treatment, and a receipt you can keep.
Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP?
Call us and we'll answer plainly for your plan. Coverage for oral surgery varies by plan.
Can I get a written estimate before treatment?
Yes. Ask when you book or at your consultation, and we put it in writing before anything starts.
Before your visit
Do I need a referral?
No. Some patients come from their dentist and some call us first. We send your dentist a note either way.
Do you see children?
Dr. Nair sees teenagers and adults. For younger children, we help you find a pediatric dentist.
Do you speak Spanish?
Mauro Carmona, our patient coordinator, does. Ask for him when you call.
What if the weather closes the road?
Call us. We move your visit and tell you what to do about fasting and medicines in the meantime.
Surgery
Will it hurt?
Most people feel pressure, not pain, once the area is numb, and we stop when you ask. You'll be sore afterward, and we explain what to expect.
Do you offer sedation, and who gives it?
Yes, by level. Dr. Nair gives it, and a trained team member watches you throughout. The sedation page has the details.
After surgery
What counts as an emergency?
Swelling that spreads, trouble breathing or swallowing, or bleeding that won't stop means 911 or an emergency room. For other urgent problems, call us. The emergency page has more.
How do I change or cancel a visit?
Call us as early as you can. For surgery with sedation, we need to know before the night you start fasting.
Still have a question?
Call or send a request. A person answers, and we don't ask for medical details in a message.
